Happy Hope!!

Serious Mia

"Wouldn't my Papa be proud?"

"Look how big I am now!"

"Check this out! If you bite the end and suck the ice cream out, it's almost like a milk shake."

Noah and his girls

"What do you mean I need a tissue?"

"If you take tiny licks it will last longer. Don't believe that whole bite the end off stuff. It's lies, all lies!!!"

"What? I'm not doing anything. No, I was putting the lid back on, not taking it off. Really!"

Sorry Mia, you're busted!!

Destin, FL

We are having a great time here in Destin! We thought we would post a few pictures for you to see. Most days, as you will notice, we have stayed on the beach. The kids have been boogy boarding and Camden has been working on his surfing moves. They are loving the beach. Today was the only day we didn't go(the red flags were out) so we went to the pool instead. They have caught tons of little fish with their nets and Ali even caught a tiny jelly fish! We head home on Saturday, but for now we are on VACATION!!

Enjoy!!

Jordyn is working very hard!!!

Well, we have told Jordyn if she can raise enough money to buy her plane ticket then she can go in July. She is soooooooo excited!! She has already sent out support letters and her grandparents brought her a bucket of change tonight that is probably around $200. We are planning a garage sale to help her, but we are in a terrible location so we have to find a location first.

I asked her, for her letter, to think of why she wanted to go and include that information. Her first response was, "I want to meet the rest of my family." Enough said! Please pray God supplies all her needs according to His riches in glory!

Jordyn, Mommy wants you to go!! I can't wait to see you with all the kids but especially with Mia, Noah and Hope!! I'm believing God's grace will abound to you and you will have all sufficiency!!!

Bon Fet Zanmi 'm!!!!

Happy Birthday my friend! I pray this day will be a wonderful day full of God's peace and goodness. Thank you for all you do for my children, but most of all thank you for being such a great friend. Love you!!

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, hearing of your love and faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints, that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. For we have great joy and consolation in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed by you.

Ok, well....This is suppose to be a list of 7 little known facts about myself. I'm not sure how well people know me so we'll see if I can surprise anyone with my facts.

1. I married my childhood/high school sweetheart a month after graduating High School. We met when I was 11 years old and surprisingly new shortly after we would spend the rest of our lives together. There were a few times it looked like that wouldn't happen, but God brought us back together and I am blessed to be married to such an amazing man. I love you, hon!!

2. I LOVE surprises! Whether it's a gift, a fact, a plan I don't care, surprise me. God knew this about me and surprised me with 5 of the 6 children we have. Jordyn was our only "planned" child, but everyone of them was deeply wanted!!

3. My favorite color is yellow!! Unlike Laura McBride, I don't know if I own anything yellow. I don't have any clothes that are yellow, no rooms, my wedding didn't have yellow, but really I do love it! It's so bright and cheery. The only thing I can think of in my house that is yellow is Noah's desk in our classroom. It's the only desk that I got to pick the color, therefore it is yellow.

4. I always intended on becoming a nurse. All through high school I took classes to prepare me for Nursing school, but as you already read got married instead. I knew at that point I would be a stay at home Mom when we had children so I decided to not waist my time or money on college and went to work at a bank instead. I worked there until Jordyn was born and have loved staying at home since.

5. I am a proud PK. Growing up my dad pastored Glezen Revival Center Pentecostal Church in Glezen, Indiana. Yep, that's right "holy rollers". Our church was often accused of locking the doors, dancing, rolling on the floor and swinging from the chandeliers. We loved to laugh and say, "That's not true. We have NEVER locked the doors." :) He now is a Pastor of an Assembly of God Church in Petersburg, Indiana.

6. I want a Yorkie(female to be specific)! I have been trying to talk Jeremy into it for over a year now, but for once he is not caving easily. (Honey, don't forget #2, I LOVE surprises.) I think they are adorable! They don't shed! They are easy to take places! They love to be played with so it would be great for the kids! And my mom has a friend that sells them, so I would know where to get one and she doesn't charge $1,000+.

7. I LOVE BEING A MOM!!! My kids are amazing! I love having Jordyn, Ali & Camden home with me and can't wait to have Mia, Noah & Hope here as well. Yes, I'm sure there are days where they need a break from me and I from them, but all in all we love being together. We love to play games inside and out, watch movies, swim, plant flowers, go for walks, do you get the hint. I don't even mind taking them to the store. Yes, I will come home with tons more than planned, but that happens if Jeremy goes too. :) I can't imagine if they were all "in school". My life would be so different and a different that I am not interested in having.

So that's it.....

Apparently I'm suppose to tag 7 other people so I'm going to tag......

Jeremy Cundiff
Angela Fairfield
Gail Gray
Gretchen Huijskens
Shannon Hoffman
Kathy Koenig
Laura Burton

Please post a comment on this post when you have posted your 7 little known facts!

Fun, fun & more fun!!!

What loving big brother!! He specifically pulled his chair over and put Hope's head in his lap and was rubbing her face. It was so sweet!!!!

Great friends!! Look out here comes trouble.

Mia at Dance Theater!

Mia loved the water. I think she only got out once and that was to eat.

Noah on the otherhand only liked the water if I was holding him. He was just as happy playing up in the rocks.

Hope was just like Noah. A little intimidated by the Ocean, but looked awfully pretty in her new bathing suit!!

Our beautiful babies!!

Being resourceful! Yes that is plastic forks they are using to play in the dirt/rocks. I'm not sure where they got the forks and I'm not sure I want to know

Mommy& Hope having a little playtime!

M'ap vini fanmi'm!!

I'm coming my family!!

5 more days!!

5 more days till I board a plane
to a country not my own
yet to my children all the same

5 more days till I'll hold them once again
I wonder if they know
Do they wonder where I've been?

5 more days till I see their precious smiles
It erases all the time
And it melts away the miles

5 more days, "I'm coming!" I'm here to say
I'll be there very soon
And for a week I get to stay

I love you Mia, Noah and Hope!! I can't wait to be with you again!!

Spring Break '07

Spring Break was last week so I thought I would share our week. Sunday through Wednesday we were at "Camp Meemaw's". It's a tradition we started a few years ago. My sister and I and all the grandkids spend a few days at my Mom's. We camp out if at all possible. Thursday through Saturday Jeremy and I took the kids to Indy and spent a day at the Children's Museum, did some shopping, ate at PF Changs(yumm!!) and let them swim at the Hotel. We had a great time and talked off and on all week about what it would have been like with the kids here. Here's a few pictures from our time in Indy. Hopefully next year's pictures will look totally different!!

Bon Fet Mia 'm!!

Ok, so I'm a day late. We were out of town and I didn't get to put this on here until tonight! Yesterday was our beautiful Mia's birthday! Ali and I sang Happy Birthday to her(ok I realize she couldn't hear us but it made us feel like we were a part of her day) and we thought of her all day wishing we could be with her! Her birth certificate says she is now 5 years old. Happy Birthday my Mia!!!

Family United

It's amazing how time goes by. A year and a half has gone by since we decided to follow God's plan for our life and adopt Noah. In some ways it seems like it was only yesterday but in others it seems so long ago. Of course, during that long time, God brought us to our girls and for that we will always be thankful. Now we are all longing to be together.

Mia, Noah and Hope have become such a huge part of our lives, even though they don't live here. Jordyn, Alexis and Camden talk about them, pray for them and at times cry because they miss them, though they have never met. God has created in them a love for each other that is truly awesome. I remember coming home from one of our trips and the kids were crying. I asked what was wrong and Ali said, "we were hoping you were going to surprise us and bring Noah home." As a parent there are so many times that you want to give your kids everything they wish for and this was definitely one of those moments. Just recently Camden asked if "this time" I would be able to bring the kids home. I said, "No, but it won't be long buddy." Crocodile tears ran down his cheeks and he said, "I want them home." That made me cry too and all I could say was, "I do too, bub. I do too."

Kids are amazing. These siblings only "know" each other through videos and pictures, but there is a bond between them. Mia was so proud in February for knowing their names, including the dog (which I'm sure makes Jubilee very happy). Noah would work so hard at trying to say their names and Hope even attempted to learn them. Jordyn, Ali and Camden have made so many plans for when the kids come home. From who's sharing rooms to who's buckling who in seat belts. Often times I find myself imagining what it will be like. Picturing Mia and Ali playing dress up and performing their most recent production. I see Jordy reading stories to Hope like only a big sister could. As for Noah and Camden, I just see trouble, good old fashion brotherly trouble. I realize it won't be a fairy tale, but at any rate it will be our tale. A family isn't a fairy tale, but to me it's always wonderful. I am so thankful God thinks Jeremy and I are capable of raising these six amazing kids, though at times it is hard for us to imagine.

Currently there's no news to report. We are just a family of eight waiting to be a family united.
